Will it run on my Mac?
You need an Apple Silicon Mac—M1 or later—with macOS 14 or later. Intel Macs are not supported. The current release has not yet been verified on macOS 27. See the release notes for current compatibility details.
What does setup involve?
Download the signed, notarized app, move it to Applications, and follow its setup check. Allow Microphone for recording and Accessibility for the shortcut and text insertion. Your chosen shortcut may require an additional permission. The speech model is about 460 MB and needs an internet connection to download. After setup, dictation works offline.
Can I use it with my AI app?
PressTalk inserts text into the selected text field, so it can be useful for prompts as well as Mail, Slack, browser forms, notes, and editors. Secure fields and some applications block insertion. If insertion fails, the text is copied so you can paste it yourself. Test the applications you use during the free trial.
How accurate is it?
You may need to edit. Try your own sentences, names, and vocabulary. The published tests explain what has been measured and the limits of those results.
What happens after the trial?
Your free trial lasts 3 days from the first successful dictation. There is no automatic charge. Buy a licence if you want to keep using PressTalk. After payment, activate from the confirmation page, open the licence file, or paste your emailed key. The activated app works offline.
What if I need help or want a refund?
You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Support is best effort, with no guaranteed response time. The support guide covers setup, licence recovery, and known issues, including a first-recording retry that can occur after connecting AirPods.
